This is the first birthday I get to spend with you, and I didn't want to pick something off a shelf for it. So I made you this instead: one page, one candle, and everything I'd say out loud if I could get through it without going quiet. 💜

You have the softest heart, Erum, and I'm the one who gets to feel it every day. The way you check on me. The way you notice something's off before I've even said a word.
